AIF designees have a reputation in the industry for the ability to implement a prudent process into their own investment practices as well as being able to assist others in implementing proper policies and procedures. AIF designees are required to:

– Put clients’ best interests first
– Disclose conflicts and other facts important to investors
– Avoid (or to manage to benefit the client) all important conflicts
– Disclose fees and control expenses
– Follow and document a due diligence process in making decisions
– Diversify investments

For these reasons, the AIF was named one of the “Ten Most Wanted” designations in the investment industry by Financial Planning magazine. The fiduciary distinction is established in law, recognized worldwide, upheld by leading advisors, and preferred by investors who know the difference.
